Meet our pastor

Picture
Pastor Everett B. Kelley is a native of Goodwater Alabama. He confessed Christ at the age of six years old and united with St. James A.M.E. Church.

In 1982 he rededicated his life to Christ and united with the Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Sylacauga, Alabama.

Rev. Kelley enlisted in the United States Army where he served three years. He established B & K Cabinets and
K & G Cabinets in Oxford, Alabama. He is a former employee of Anniston Army Depot.

In October 1985, Rev. Kelley accepted his call into the ministry. He preached his first sermon in December of 1985. He was called to pastor St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church In August 1987.

An anointed preacher and teacher, he draws on his own failures and shortcomings to deliver God’s Word.  Pastor Kelley embraces technology to illustrate teachings with real-life application.   He is committed to winning souls for Christ so that marriages are restored, families are healed and another generation begins to rise up!

Pastor Everett Kelley is a man after God’s own heart. With the character of being a humble man, Pastor Kelley began preparing himself for the call on his life by continuing his education. Rev. Kelley’s education includes attending the following schools: Hannah J. Mallory Elementary, Sylacauga High School, Central Alabama Community College, Birmingham Baptist Bible College and Rushing Spring School of Theology where he has earned his Bachelor and Masters of Theology.

Rev. Kelley is the former instructor of Bible Prophecy at Rushing Springs School of Theology, former instructor of Christian Education and Evangelism at the Birmingham Estonian Bible College, at the Anniston campus. In July 2005 Rev. Kelley was certified in the E. K. Bailey Expository Preaching Conference.

In 2002 he made history by becoming the first African American to serve as President of AFGE Local 1945 and Chaplain for Alabama State Councils of A.F.G.E, and Supervisory Committee member of the AOD Federal Credit Union. In October of 2005, Rev. Kelley was appointed to the Calhoun County Economic Development Council; he also serves as a member of East Alabama Planning Board. He is President and founder of “Cruzin for Jesus Motor Club Inc.”, and President/CEO of E. B. Kelley Ministries LLC. In October 2008 Rev. Kelley established Kelley’s Photography, a subsidiary of E. B. Kelley Ministries LLC.

In late 2010 Everett became a candidate for the office of National Vice President of AFGE District 5. Again, making history, he became the first African American to serve in the position of National Vice President of District 5, representing the States: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. In August 2011 District 5 became the first District to own its own building.  As of October 2013, District 5 became the first and only District to have a net gain of over 44,000 members.

He is married to the very supportive Sister Elizabeth Kelley. Pastor and Sister Kelley are the parents of four adult children, and the grandparents of six.

Rev. Kelley believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God as is professed in the Gospels of the Holy Bible. He believes that the church must continue to equip members for service for the Master as God has called us to be "Salt and light" in this world; therefore, we must at any cost bring Glory and Honor to God.
